Liposuction, a surgical body contouring technique, is one of the most popular among different plastic surgery options. Similar to any cosmetic surgery, liposuction carries side effects such as scars, bruisers and swelling. Post- liposuction swelling and lumpiness disappear several months after surgery while bruising will fade after a few days. You can resume your normal activities several days and weeks afterwards allowing the body to get used to its new shape. To maintain your figure after liposuction, you should still stick to a moderate diet and exercise for 30 minutes― 3 to 5 times a week, also to improve health and prevent illnesses that may occur.
